I’m sure you have heard the Chinese Proverb that “A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step.” The first step as a Marketplace Director is to identify the business leaders in your city. It is foundational to everything else.
WHAT IS THE ROLE OF A MARKETPLACE MINISTRY DIRECTOR
The primary role of the Marketplace Director is to help individual business owners recognize God’s purpose for placing them in positions of authority and influence, and to help them fulfill the great commission through their work. Next is to create connectivity and community among individual Christian Business Owners.
SHORT TERM GOALS
To provide encouragement to each business owner or professional in your directory. Sharing personal stories, answers to prayers, and business advice will help to create community and connectivity.
To spend time with each business owner one-on-one. Getting to know them along with their individual needs and challenges. This effort could include telephone conversations, zoom meetings, office visits (mostly by appointment), and lunches on occasion. To pray with each business owner at every opportunity.
LONG TERM GOALS
To create a network of seasoned Christian Business Professionals within your city who are willing to use the leadership skills God has given them to help lead and transform your city for the Kingdom of God.
To connect seasoned business owners with newer business owners as mentors.To provide business training and guidance for young entrepreneurs or established businesses. This could mean recommending resources such as books, the SBA, a business coach, CEO round table groups, or other available resources.
To expand your business ministry through existing business owners and professionals who are willing to introduce you to their network of associates and friends. (This is an evangelism opportunity)
To coordinate events such as business lunches, workplace ministry seminars, job fairs and other venues within your city.
In 2002, the Rev. Billy Graham said, “I believe one of the next great moves of God is going to be through believers in the workplace.”

At Christians In Business, our mission is, “To help Marketplace Directors transform their cities for Christ by helping them Identify, Connect, and Equip marketplace leaders for ministry in the marketplace. When you do that, the potential impact is INCALCULABLE. How do you measure the impact that a Chick-fil-A, Hobby Lobby, or Tyson Foods has had on their employees, their customers and even on American Culture? We believe that every business has the potential to be a little Chick-fil-A influencing everyone they touch.
By now, I hope you can see the value of what this opportunity entails. We are not looking for people that are in it for the income that they can make, but for the opportunity to be a part of transforming their city for Christ. However, we realize that people that are in ministry also need income. That is why we pay the commissions that we do. So that a Marketplace Director can make a living while transforming the marketplace in their city.

Registration Form
If you wish to use the Flyer that we have provided, you can download it and have it professionally printed. You can pass them out, leave them at churches to enroll their business leaders. Churches can have them inserted into their bulletin or have available at their Information Table.
Commissions
You will earn 70% commission on all sales that are made no later than Sunday by midnight. Commissions will be paid on Friday of that week. Commissions will be paid every year on Annual Listings if they continue to pay each year. All commissions will be tracked through your affiliate link in Thrivecart. Be looking out for an email from Thrivecart. When you receive it, please register your account immediately. Otherwise, you will not be paid. If you did not see an email from them please let us know. You will also need to fill out a w-9 and upload it before receiving any commissions.
